The EA website has also been updated with a new game summary:

"2069 - no longer governed by politicians, the developed world is divided up into regions controlled by mega-corporations known as syndicates. These syndicates have revolutionized how the consumer interacts with the digital world. No longer does the consumer require a device to access the world's data and control their technology, they can do this at the blink of an eye via neural chip implant.

"Civilians flocked to be 'chip'd' and enjoy all that their selected syndicate has to offer; housing, medical, banking, insurance, education, entertainment and jobs. One complete package. One complete lifestyle. In return, the syndicates gained unprecedented insights, and control, over the individual and their behaviour. With little governmental oversight, business has become war. The syndicates will stop at nothing for ultimate market dominance.

"At the front line of this war are the agents, the syndicate's bio-engineered and chip-augmented enforcers. They can breach anything in the wired dataverse including their enemies, their weapons and the environment that surrounds them, making them the most efficient and deadly technological weapons in the world. Take on the role of miles kilo, eurocorp's latest prototype agent, and embark on a brutal action adventure of corruption and revenge."

Additionally, some new gameplay features have been published.

The game will feature four player online co-op and nine missions from the original Syndicate game will make an appearance.

Playing as the prototype Agent, Miles Kilo, you’ll use neural DART6 chip implant technology to see through walls, slow down time, and breach your enemies and anything else which exists within Syndicates digital world.

Despite the mixed reaction from fans of the original regarding the FPS reimagining of 1993’s isometric tactical strategy game, game director Neil McEwan remains upbeat:

"The original nub of the idea was to take that viewpoint from the original game and zoom into the Agent's head, and play that part. A closer experience - to become one of those Agents.

"[Our] game speaks for itself. We've been very lucky to work with a great, original world, and create another facet of it really. I would love [fans of the original] to like it. You're never going to please everyone. I don't want people to stop playing the old games but time has moved on."

Those dates again:

Europe: 24th February

Syndicate System Requirements Revealed
- by Miles Kilo
Over on the EA Origin store page for Syndicate they reveal the system requirements:

30 fps at 1024 x 768 on
• Intel Core2 Duo (E4600) at 2.4Ghz or equivalent (Athlon 64 x 2) processor
• ATI Radeon 4870 or Nvidia GeForce 8800GT (min. 512mb RAM) or better
• Windows
o XP SP2 with 2Gb RAM
o Vista with 3Gb RAM
o 7 with 2Gb RAM
• Hard drive with 12Gb free space
• DirectX compatible sound card, and microphone for VoIP
• DirectX 9.0c compatible - SHADER 3.0 compliant
Not looking too bad. Although I'm unsure how many people play as 1024 x 768 anymore. I was running Deus Ex fine at 1680 x 1050.

Still, I think most people with a semi-decent machine will be okay with this.
